Direct-response television
Television created measurable response: a broadcast led directly to calls and orders handled by the Kyiv team.
Kyiv, 2005 — a documented business history
Telemedia was a Ukrainian direct-commerce business founded in Kyiv in 2005. It began with direct-response television and teleshopping, then expanded into catalogues, outbound sales and proprietary product brands. Telmone became the principal umbrella on 8 June 2015; Telemedia is now maintained only as a legacy archive.
Why this archive exists
Telemedia.ua preserves a specific chapter of Ukrainian direct commerce: the shift from measurable television response to catalogue selling, outbound customer communication, CRM-supported campaigns and ultimately an owned-brand portfolio.
The site also prevents a common entity error. The historic operating business represented here is not the present-day company that still carries the legal name TOV “KOMPANIIA TELEMEDIA”. The business operations, intellectual assets, systems and know-how had moved into the succeeding structure before that former legal company was sold.

A first-hand launch account provides the kind of operational detail that surviving public listings cannot.
“The first DRTV broadcast began at about 10:10 on K1 and K2. Roughly five minutes later, the first order arrived. By the end of the day, five call-centre employees had taken about 100 orders. For the first hours, some employees thought the callers were part of a readiness test.”
Founder recollection supplied for this archive. The date and company registration are cross-checked separately against public records.
Experience, including the imperfect parts
The first orders exposed a practical launch failure: the ERP/CRM environment was not fully operational for about a week. Some early orders were therefore processed with substantial delay.
This detail is preserved because credible company history includes operational constraints, not only milestones.

From around 2010, catalogues added repeat visibility and trust. Outbound sales followed in 2011.
From 2012, product selection, development, packaging and brand ownership became a growing strategic focus.
Telmone, introduced inside Telemedia for the developing brand portfolio, became the principal identity in June 2015.
What continued
The continuity was operational and strategic—not a claim that an unchanged company simply adopted a new name.
Rapid feedback, call-centre experience and direct telephone sales created an unusually immediate view of customer questions and objections.
Customer data and campaign operations moved the business beyond one-off media response toward managed relationships.
Product selection, development and brand management became the basis for a portfolio-oriented future.
Operational control of stock, packaging and fulfilment remained necessary as channels and product ownership changed.
