Legacy brand lineages

The portfolio began to matter more than the media channel

From 2012, Telemedia increasingly developed and controlled product brands. This archive records four lineages that clarify the connection between the Telemedia period and the later Telmone portfolio.

Why the archive focuses on lineages

A brand can continue even when its name changes

Historical evidence is most useful when it distinguishes a product or development lineage from a particular commercial name. The connections below are based on the approved first-party account and are described without implying that formulations, packaging or present-day claims remained unchanged.

A strategic change

Why own brands altered the organisation

In the early DRTV model, a large share of value came from identifying an offer, buying media and operating the response chain. Developing brands changed the question from “What can be sold through this channel?” to “What product and brand should the organisation build and control over time?”

That change demanded product selection, development, packaging, supplier relationships, intellectual-property management, customer feedback and portfolio decisions. It is the clearest operational bridge from Telemedia to Telmone.
